The Huawei Honor Play 3e is a low-budget Android phone with a compact screen size of 5.71-inch powered by an octa-core chipset. The Play 3e comes with a true dual SIM card slot and an additional memory card slot to expand the storage by another 512GB. On the rear is a 13-megapixel and HDR support and the 8-megapixel front-facing camera comes into play to unlock the smartphone with facial recognition. The Huawei Honor Play 3e supports dual 4G LTE and is running EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie.
On the front, the 5.71-inch HD+ screen (1520 x 720) sports a screen-to-body ratio of 84.6% and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Underneath, the entry level device is powered by a Helio P22 octa-core 12nm processor with up to 2.0 GHz burst-frequency and for graphics it packs the IMG GE8320 GPU. The Honor Play 3e is available with 2GB+32GB and 3GB+64GB. The storage capacity can be expanded by up to 512GB!
For taking pictures and videos, it is equipped with a 13-megapixel shooter on the rear. The camera lens comes with PDAF, a f/1.8 aperture and can take photos with a resolution of 4160x3120 or videos with 1080p. On the front, located in the waterdrop notch, is the selfie camera with 5-megapixel, f/2.2 aperture and the ability to take pictures with 2560x1920 pixels. Panorama mode, selfie-timer mode and other are supported as well.
The Honor Play 3e packs a battery with 3,020mAh capacity charged via microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone is lightweight with only 146 grams. In terms of connectivity, it comes with Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, OTG, dual 4G LTE and GPS/AGPS, Glonass and Beidou support for precise navigation. The affordable Android smartphone runs with Android 9 Pie based on EMUI 9.1. Please note, that even if English language (or another language) is available, some parts of the operating system might still be displayed in Chinese language.
