The Nubia Play 5G is a new phone of the Red Magic gaming phone series. The Nubia Play 5G is an affordable gaming smartphone, but features specs and hardware like its big brother Red Magic 5G. This includes a true 144Hz ultra-high screen refresh rate and lightning fast 5G mobile data support. In addition, the Nubia Play 5G comes with the ICE2.5 liquid cooling system and additional shoulder keys for total gamin pleasure without the need of an extra game case or Bluetooth controller.
On the front, the Nubia Play 5G is equipped with an insane 144Hz Super AMOLED display and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The super competitive screen also supports up to 4096 levels of automatic brightness adjustment, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and 6.9ms operation time per frame. The Nubia gaming phone is powered by a 64bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 7nm processor with eight cores and a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz. Additionally, the Android phone packs an Adreno 620 GPU and up to 8GB of RAM for high-speed gaming performance.
Compared to the Nubia Red Magic 5G, the Nubia Play 5G did get an additional fourth camera sensor on the rear. The mobile phone comes with a 48MP Sony IMX582 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera and another 2-megapixel depth-of-field camera sensor. On the front is a high-definition 12-megapixel selfie camera which also can be used to unlock the gaming phone with facial recognition.
In terms of battery capacity, the Nubia Play 5G offers a big battery with 5100mAh supporting PD3.0, QC4.0 and PPS protocol with up to 30W fast charge technology. The Nubia Play 5G also supports dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and sports a pair of dual gaming touch shoulder keys. Thanks to nubiaUI and Game Space 2.1 the Nubia Play 5G is capable of delivering a great 3D gaming experience with the ability to cool down the CPU by 16 degrees Celsius. The Nubia Play 5G gaming phone runs Nubia UI, based on Android 10 OS. Please note: Apps on the phone will be shown in the selected language.
