The Blackview BV5800 Pro was presented on the MWC. It is an affordable, water-proof smartphone with 4G connectivity. The BV5800 Pro sports a 5.5-inch HD+ touch screen, a MediaTek MT6739 Quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. The rugged phone supports NFC (Near Field Communication) for mobile payments and Qi wireless charging, like the Apple iPhone X.

As with most rugged phones, the display of the BV5800 Pro is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The body is made of soft plastic and metal and extremely durable. It is IP68 certified and therefore waterproof, dustproof and shockproof. Under the hood is a quad-core MTK6739 with 1.5GHz clock speed, 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16GB ROM. The internal memory can be additionally expanded by up to 128GB with a micro SD memory card.

On the rear is a dual camera with a 13MP Sony IMX134 and a secondary 8-megapixel sensor, dual-tone LED flash and a fingerprint scanner. The front side features a 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Thanks to IP68 certification the phone can be even used to take pictures and videos under water.

The rugged smartphone has a big battery with 5580mAh and supports Quick Charge technology (5V/2A) as well as Qi inductive charging. It sports a set of different outdoor function sensors like a compass, gyroscope, etc. Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi and NFC. In terms of 4G connectivity, all important frequencies and bands are supported. The phone runs the latest Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box.
