Xiaomi has introduced Snapdragon’s powerful 700 series processors to the Redmi Note series for the first time. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is equipped with the high-performance Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor, including fifth-generation AI engine boosting AI computing performance to the next level. The Redmi Note 9S comes with a symmetrical design, 3D curved glass back and a 6.67-inches Tiny DotDisplay with 91% screen-to-body ratio, as well as a long-lasting ultra-high capacity battery supporting 18W fast charge and including a 22.5W fast charger in the box.
On the front and back, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for an increased toughness and durability. The Android phone is also splash-proof thanks to nano-coating. The 6.67-inch screen has a resolution of 2400 x 1080p, supports HDR display, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification and Reading mode 2.0. Inside, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G with eight cores and a burst frequency up to 2.3GHz is powering the phone, coupled with an Adreno 618 graphics processor and up to 6GB of RAM. The Redmi Note 9S supports a 2+1 card slot offering space for two nano-SIM cards and an additional microSD memory card, to extend the storage by up to 512GB!
The rear comes also with a symmetrically arranged quad-camera setup with a 48MP main camera. The 48-megapixel main camera consists of 6 pieces with f/1.79 aperture and 4-in-1 super pixel. In addition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with 119° FOV, a 5-megapixel macro camera (2-10 cm), and a fourth 2-megapixel depth camera with f/2.4. The 48MP ultra-high resolution main camera captures magnificent photos with up to 8000 x 6000 ultra-high resolution, a night mode for sharper photos and support of 4K and video pro mode. The 16-megapixel in-display front camera makes you a super start. The selfie shooter supports AI Beautify and up to 120fps slow motion selfies.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S packs a large 5020mAh battery that you can use the phone to browse for hours while traveling, commuting or at home on the sofa. The built-in 5020mAh battery provides power for up to 147 hours of music playback. The Note 9S comes with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, Bluetooth 5.0, dual 4G LTE, including band 20 (B20) and band 28 (B28), and dual SIM VoLTE HD calling support. To safely unlock the phone, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports Facial recognition. Its z-axis linear vibration motor provides better haptic feedback and the Note 9S has an IR remote feature. The operating system is MIUI 11 based on Android OS out of the box.
