In addition to the Huawei Nova the Chinese manufacturer Huawei from Shenzhen also presented the 5.5-inch Huawei Nova Plus at the IFA in Berlin. The 5.5-inch large display comes with Full HD resolution and instead of a 12-megapixel camera the Plus version has a 16-megapixel camera with 4K video mode installed. The roundish form of the Huawei Nova Plus is strongly reminiscent of the Nexus 6P. However, the Nova Plus has only a 5.5-inch display with a high pixel density of 401 ppi. The processor is Qualcomm's latest mid-range SoC Snapdragon 625. Its eight cores clock with 2 gigahertz. In addition, the phone features 3 gigabytes of RAM and an internal memory of 32 gigabytes. The internal memory of the Huawei Nova Plus can be extended by hybrid slot and a microSD memory card to another 128GB.
The main camera on the rear has a 16 megapixel sensor (IOS, PDAF) and the front camera triggers with 8 megapixels. The main camera has a f/2.2 aperture and 1.25 Mikormeter large pixels. For video recording, the Nova Plus is even slightly ahead of the Huawei P9 with its Dual Camera from Leica. The Nova Plus offers a high resolution 4K video mode (3840x2160; 30fps).
The smartphone features a non-removable 3340mAh battery with long standby hours thanks to the hardware gentle EMUI interface. EMUI 4.1 is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Other features of the Huawei Nova Plus are 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, USB Type-C and GPS.
