Meizu presents with the Meizu M3 Note phablet a smartphone which is equipped with neat hardware specs and a new design. In comparison to its predecessors the M3 has a metal housing which is strongly reminiscent of the Meizu MX5. Other new features include the mTouch 2.1 Home Button with integrated fingerprint scanner and a 4100mAh strong battery, wherein the total thickness is even shrunk by half a millimeter.
The device is powered by the Helio P10 SoC from MediaTek with a clock speed of 1.8GHz (4x ARM Cortex-A53 1.8GHz + 4x ARM Cortex-A53 1.0GHz). The eight-core processor has a Mali T860 graphics unit to its side, and 2GB of RAM in the base model. This model has an internal memory of 16 GB which can be expanded via hybrid SIM slot by microSD card by another 128 GB. If there is no additional space needed, the M3 Note can be used with two SIM cards in 6 modes, 18 frequencies and even VoLTE.
The display measures 5.5 inches and has a 1080p resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Another new feature is the 2.5D glass. The remaining data and specifications are identical to the Meizu M2 Note. The main camera shoots photos with a 13-megapixel sensor and the front camera has a 5-megapixel sensor. The main camera with dual LED flash on the back has an f / 2.2 aperture and a 5-piece lens and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Furthermore, is also supports PDAF autofocus. The Selfie Cam has an f / 2.0 aperture and a 4-piece lens.
Inside the metal unibody housing is a battery with a capacity of 4100mAh, slightly larger than the battery in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. On the front Meizu integrated now a fingerprint sensor with mTouch 2.1. Greater safety and comfort are not possible these days. The phone is unlocked in just 0.2 seconds with a 360° detection angle and the possibility to save up to five different finger prints. The M3 Note also has a gyroscope and you can enjoy 360° videos in Virtual Reality (VR). Also present is an infrared interface which turn your smartphone into a remote control and you can also control other appliances. The network standards include 18 frequencies with 4G TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, 3G WCDMA and TD-SCDMA, and GSM 2G. GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS and a digital compass are also built in.
