The UmiDigi Z Pro is the first smartphone of the renamed Chinese manufacturer that has a dual camera. UmiDigi stands for UMi Digital and is pointing towards a broader product line, with robots, smart Bluetooth devices, as well as smart home devices. The body of the phone is made entirely of aluminum and contents are displayed on the sharp 5.5 inch 2.5D FullHD-IGZO display by Sharp. The 5.5 inch full HD display has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (441ppi) and is slightly rounded at the sides (2.5D glass). The heart of the UmiDigi Z Pro is one of the latest and most powerful CPUs from MediaTek. The Deca-Core SoC plays in the same league as the Snapdragon MSM8996, Exynos 8890 or A9 from Apple. The 64-bit Helio X27 (Cortex A72) with ten cores has a maximum clock speed of 2.6GHz. You also have 4GB of memory, the GPU Mali-T880 MP4 (875MHz) and an internal memory of 32GB, which can be expanded by 256GB with microSD card.
The UmiDigi Z Pro uses two Sony IMX258 sensors with a maximum resolution of 13 megapixels (MP) each. One of the sensors is responsible for color picutres in this dual camera setup, while the second sensor takes pictures in black and white. Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and a quad LED flash are also available. On the front you can also look forward to a 13MP sensor from Samsung, including Softlight LED light for shooting in low light situations. Videos are recorded with either 1080p, 2K or 4K.
On the front is also the fingerprint sensor for unlocking the display. The permanently installed battery has a capacity of 3.780mAh and according to the manufacturer, you can enjoy a standby time of 13 to 15 days. The battery is charged with the Pump Express+ quick charging function. In addition to GPS and OTG, Bluetooth 4.1, Dual Band WiFi (2.4 / 5GHz), a variety of sensors, as well as 4G LTE connectivity (including B20) are supported. As operating system, you can look forward to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. UMi has also announced an OTA Upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.
