Here comes the new Meizu device of its mid-range E-series. The Meizu Meilan E3 is packed with powerful cameras and features like 20W Cold mCharge and a right-hand side fingerprint sensor. The E3 sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 636. In addition, there is also a limited edition available dubbed the Meizu Meilan E3 J-20 Edition with zinc alloy chassis and a J-20 fighter jet.
The inexpensive device features a 2.5D screen with 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display. All four versions of the Meizu Meilan E3 are powered by a 64bit Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor (1.8GHz) with Adreno 509 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It has an expandable storage of either 64GB or 128GB ROM. The internal storage can be expanded with a microSD memory card by up to 128 GB.
On the camera side, the Meizu ME3 features a dual rear camera setup. The rear camera includes a Sony IMX362 sensor with 12-megapixel camera (1.4μm, f/1.9 aperture), coupled with a 20-megapixel secondary camera with Sony IMX350 sensor (f/2.6) for 2.5x optical zoom. The Sony IMX 362 sensor was used on devices like the ZTE Nubia Z17 or HTC U11. The front facing camera has an 8MP f/2.0 camera with facial recognition feature.
The Meizu E3 sports a 3,360mAh battery with a USB Type-C port for Meizu's 20W Cold mCharge. Like on the Meizu M6s, the E3 features a side-mounted Super mBack button with an integrated fingerprint scanner. For positioning it supports an electric compass, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS and Beidou. Other features include dual band Wi-Fi (802.11 ac/b/g/n), Bluetooth 5.0 and BLE. The direct competitor to the Redmi Note 5 (Pro) runs on Meizu's Flyme OS, based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
