The Nomu S20 is an affordable rugged smartphone from the new manufacturer from Hong Kong. Like the S10, the S20 has a 5.0-inch HD display from SHARP and is powered by the MTK6757T quad-core processor. The user has 3GB of RAM and an expandable flash memory of 32GB available for main memory. As usual with the rugged phones, this is extremely resistant to water, dust and falls. The Nomu S20 has an IP68 certification.
The housing of the Nomu S20 is made of rubber, with side metal strips in black or silver. This makes the mobile phone also very light and thin for an outdoor smartphone. The 5.0-inch HD display (1280x720 pixels) is additionally protected against scratching by Corning Gorilla glass 4. The quad-core MT6737T is used as a processor. The four-core processor has a maximum clock speed of 1.5GHz and is supported by 3GB of RAM and the Mali-T720 GPU. The internal memory of 32GB can be expanded effortlessly with a hybrid SIM slot by a further 32GB.
As a main camera, the young mobile phone manufacturer has put in a 13.0 megapixel Sony IMX219 sensor (interpolated) with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), 5-piece lens, LED flash and features such as panorama or HDR. The three-piece lens front camera has up to 5.0 megapixels.
As with normal smartphones, the Nomu S20 supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11a / b / g / n), GPS, A-GPS, OTG and FM radio. An electronic compass is also available to the user. The 3.000mAh battery is charged with microUSB via PE+ Quick Charge (5V / 7V / 9V-2A). In terms of 4G connectivity, all frequencies and bands required for Europe, such as band 20 with 800MHz, are supported. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is used as operating system.
