The Xiaomi Mijia 1S Robot Vacuum Cleaner follows the best-selling Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner. The new Mi Robot 1S comes with several upgrades including more powerful suction or better navigation thanks to AI. On-board the cleaning robot is a stronger processor with 10% lower power consumption and 40% overall better cleaning performance.
Emerged from Xiaomi’s sales and crowdfunding platform Youpin, the Mi Robot 1S features an upgraded laser and visual navigation. The cleaning robot is equipped with a vision sensor and a built-in LDS laser sensor which scans the cleaning environment with a high speed of 5x360° per second, for more precise location and better mapping. In addition, the Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner features AI image recognition function. Thanks to artificial intelligence it can smartly partition rooms via recognizing the door to achieve dynamic intelligent path planning for a more efficient cleaning procedure.
Like its predecessor, the 1S comes with a main brush head on the underside and all individual parts and accessories are compatible with those of the other models. This means that you can apply your purchased accessory packages directly to the new 1S model and don’t have to buy new ones.
The Xiaomi Mijia 1S robot vacuum cleaner comes with 2000 Pa of suction power, which is similar to the Roborock T6 cleaning robot. The robot will be able to clean up even the smallest dust particles or pet hair and keep your home clean. Thanks to a dust bin with 0.42 liter volume it is usually enough to empty the dust collecting container once every one or two weeks.
Inside, a battery with 5200mAh capacity powers the smart vacuum cleaning robot. This allows the 1S to clean an area up to 250 square meters or 2.5 hours of cleaning before automatically heading back to the docking station for a recharge. The suction robot is controlled directly from your smartphone via Xiaomi Home App. The app is available for Android OS and iOS in many different languages like English, German, Italian, French, Spanish or Polish. You can also select the time and days at which you do not want the robot to clean up.
