The Nubia Z17 with 8 GB RAM is here! The ZTE subsidiary Nubia presents with the Nubia Z17 the latest flagship smartphone of the year 2017! In China, there are three versions that differ in RAM and memory available. The 5.5-inch mobile phone features a Snapdragon 835 processor and AI functions. Furthermore, the smartphone has IP67 certification, a huge memory of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory to offer. Unlike other Chinese flagship handhelds, the Nubia Z17 supports all major 4G LTE frequencies, including band 20 with 800MHz.
Optically, the comparison to the HTC U11 is visual. The full-HD display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass. The high-end phone is powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 SoC from Qualcomm (Adreno 540 GPU). The user also has 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage space.
Nubia installed in the Z17 a dual camera with 23- and 12-megapixel sensors. As with the iPhone 7 Plus, a simulated 2x optical zoom and a 10x dynamic zoom, as well as dual-pixel autofocus with a response time of 0.03 seconds are supported. On the front is a 16-megapixel selfie camera, which is equipped with an f/2.0 aperture and an 80-degree wide-angle lens. NeoVision 7.0 is used as a camera software.
The smartphone also supports dual-band Wi-Fi with 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS. The 3200mAh strong battery can be charged up to QuickCharge 4+ via USB Type-C. The housing is made of metal and gorilla glass and is IP67 certified, so it is protected against splashing water, for example. Furthermore, as with the LeEco Le Pro 3, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, as well as the Xiaomi Mi6 the 3.5mm headphone jack was renounced. On the software side, the Nubia Z17 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, which is overlaid with its own user interface NubiaUI 5.0.
